ROSTER TRIMMING BEGINS

The Dolphins announced on Monday that they terminated the contracts of running back Tristan Davis, nose tackle Travis Ivey and tight end Kory Sperry.

None of the three players were expected to make the team's final roster, so the moves are not surprising. The only major impact the release of Davis seems to point to is that rookie cornerback Nolan Carroll appears to have locked up kick return duties.
