DEFENSE GROUNDS FAVRE AND VIKINGS 14-10 Miami Takes Over 1st Place in AFC East The Dolphin defense appears to be for real. Brett Favre threw three 3 interceptions, fumbled it once for a Dolphin TD and failed to lead the Vikings to victory as drive after drive just stalled in the Miami red zone. The Dolphin offense continued to struggle to find its identity as Chad Henne started strong with a 46 yard strike on the first Miami play from scrimmage that put the Fins deep in Viking territory. Henne then lofted a beauty into the back corner of the end zone to Brian Hartline. But after that it was all about the defense as of the offense could not really get it going. Both Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown fumbled giving Minnesota the opportunity to stay in the game and a real chance to steal a victory. However, the Dolphin defense would not break and was able to keep a red hot Adrian Peterson from scoring. But the story this season is the defense which under Mike Nolan is getting to the quarterback and the DBs, unlike last year, appear to always be in the right place. Young players like Cameron Wake, Jason Alllen, Koa Misi and Vontae Davis appear to be thriving in this system. Karlos Dansby is providing exactly what was expected from him when he was brought in. Leadership, playmaking, consistent solid tackling, and great coverage skills. This week is Jets week. Miami now sits in first place in the division and the Jets come in after a huge win against the Patriots and feeling very confident. It is truly a game that will set the tone for the rest of the year. Talk About it In the FinHeaven Forums! The Internet's Largest Miami Dolphin Fan Community
