Assistant Dave Fipp hired by Eagles

Dolphins Assistant Special Teams coach Dave Fipp is leaving the team for a promotion with the Philadelphia Eagles. Fipp will serve as the Ealges Special Teams Coordinator.

So far this offseason the Dolphins have been very lucky not to have their coaching staff targeted by other teams to try and take assistants away by giving them promotions. Fipp is the first coaching staff loss of the offseason, and it is also very possible he will be the last. The Dolphins now continue a streak back to the 1990 season of having at least a some sort of change to the coaching staff, whether it was major or in this case minor.

It is unclear at the moment if Head Coach Joe Philbin and Special Teams Coordinator Darren Rizzi will look to fill the role that was handled by Fipp the past two seasons.
