CHARACTER! Dolphins 21 Seattle 19
Ronnie Brown rides the Wildcat toward the endzone The storyline for this Sunday's game against a desperate Seahawks team is pretty simple. This Dolphin team was letting a win get away and instead of giving up, they found a way to win. The team seemed to dig in and at gut check time truned away a surging Seattle team and held on. In addition to winning they showed that they are aware of their opportunity this season and collectively claimed a spot in the AFC East race. Where prior Dolphin teams would have folded up and allowed this game to go the other way, this team won. In the end that is all that matters is that they are now have a winning record of 5-4 and only one game out of the division lead. This game counts in the standing just as much as the New England victory and it was an absolute must win if their is to be any hope of contending for the playoffs. The tone for the game was set on the opening kickoff when Ted Ginn returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown only to have it called back for a penalty. Adveristy was born and then came full force when Chad Pennington's out pass was turned into a pick six. Yes adversity was alive and ruled well into the second half. However this team did not allow old stories to be told and turned away that adversity and kept the 2008 season alive. The spirit of youth and the grit of a coach have found a way to give this team a trait that fans have not seen since Shula stormed the sidelines and demanded excellence and accountability from every player, every game, every play. They showed their character which was the character of winners. TALK ABOUT THE WIN OVER SEATTLE IN THE FINHEAVEN FORUMS! The Internet's Largest Miami Dolphin Community
