DOLPHINS IMPROVE TO 7-8 WITH 24-10 VICTORY OVER BUFFALO
The 2012 Dolphins season was mostly a success, despite a potential losing record and another season missing the playoffs. However, after months of preseason ripping, being ranked #32 in most power rankings and some even saying the team could match the 0-16 record of the 2008 Detroit Lions, the Dolphins entered Week 16 still alive for the postseason. The Dolphins did their part on Sunday as they easily defeated division rival Buffalo 24-10. Sadly, the Dolphins were eliminated shortly after their victory when the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. So at 7-8, the Dolphins and their fans should be disappointed that the team has missed the playoffs for the fourth straight year, but at the same time should be excited for the future based on the progress this team has shown and an upcoming offseason where the Dolphins have a tremendous amount of cap space and draft picks. The Bills didn't offer the Dolphins much of a challenge on Sunday, but several Dolphins had big days. Reggie Bush scored three touchdowns(one rushing and two receiving), Ryan Tannehill had two touchdown passes and no interceptions, and Cameron Wake added a sack to increase his season total to a career high 15. Rookie running back Lamar Miller had a nice day with 73 yard on 10 carries, but one of the most underrated players of the season had another big day. Reshad Jones recovered two fumbles and intercepted Bills' quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick at the one yard line in the last minute of the fourth quarter to seal the victory. The Dolphins now head up to New England next Sunday to take on the Patriots to finish out their season. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25PM ET. TELL US WHAT YOU THINK IN THE FINHEAVEN FORUMS!
