DOLPHINS RE-SIGN KEY PLAYERS AS FREE AGENCY NEARS

The Dolphins were busy late Thursday night and early Friday morning as they re-signed wide receiver Brian Hartline and quarterback Matt Moore. Hartline, who had 74 receptions for 1,083 yards in 2012, signed a 5 year, $31 million contract with $12.5 million guaranteed. Moore, who was the team's starter for the majority of 2011, signed a 2 year, $8 million contract. Hartline, who is only 26 years old, was a key re-signing as he was Ryan Tannehill's favorite target during the 2012 season. Though Hartline is expected to move from the #1 wide receiver to the #2 wide receiver in 2013 as the team is getting ready to chase Mike Wallace and Greg Jennings in free agency. Moore's re-signing comes as a bit of a surprise as most expected the six year veteran to go to a new team where he would have a chance to compete for a starting job. Some rumored places where he could have got that chance would have been in New York with the Jets, Buffalo, Cleveland and Arizona. In Miami, Moore will remain the #2 quarterback behind starter Ryan Tannehill and gives Miami arguably the best backup quarterback in the NFL. TELL US WHAT YOU THINK IN THE FINHEAVEN FORUMS!
