                          FINS SACK SAINTS 14-10 !

Miami sacked Saints QBs five times in the final preseason game

The 2008 Miami Dolphins showed what they are about in the final preseason game against New Orleans. If you are a fan of physical defense and running the ball, then this will be your kind of football team. Behind five sacks and relentless pressure the Miami defense held New Orleans to a paltry 99 total yards.  The fins fell behind 10-0 in the first quarter due in large part to a fumble by back-up QB Chad Henne. The rookie quickly redeemed himself with two consecutive scoreing drives in the 2nd quarter behind hard running by Ronnie Brown and accurate passes bu the former Wolverine. That was all the defense needed as they took it from there and shut down the Saints for the rest of the game. All in all it was a solid performance by the young team and as a Dolphins fan you could not have asked for anymore heading into the regular season. This young new team has put together three consecutive victories in which they have displayed improved physical talent and more energy and attitude than  been seen in many years in Miami. With all respect to the defense...it is time to "crank it up" for the New York Jets.
