Ending months of speculation and rumors, the Miami Dolphins traded Pro Bowl Defensive End Jason Taylor to the Washington Redsking for their 2009 2nd Round pick and their 2010 6th round pick. Taylor fell out of favor with new VP of football operations Bill Parcells when the popular player elected to participate in the television show Dance With the Stars instead of participating in the teams off season program. There was a strong push to trade Taylor prior to the draft, but no deal could be reached with several teams that were interested. Filling the position became a pressing need for the Redskins when starting DE Philip Daniels went down with a ACL injury and was ruled out for the 2008 season.
