MARTIN SIGNING ADDS DEPTH TO DEFENSIVE LINE

The Dolphins bolstered the depth on the defensive line with the signing of former San Diego Chargers' defensive tackle Vaughn Martin. With Tony McDaniel signing with the Seattle Seahawks, depth at defensive tackle was a need this offseason. Martin, a 2009 4th round pick, comes to the Dolphins having started 27 games the past two seasons with the Chargers.

FORMER CHICAGO BEARS GUARD WILL COMPETE WITH JOHN JERRY 
The Dolphins today signed former Chicago Bears offensive guard Lance Louis to a one year contract. Louis is expected to compete with John Jerry for the starting right guard position in 2013. One thing to keep an eye on is Louis' continuing rehab from a torn ACL he suffered last November. While Louis will miss offseason works, there is a chance he will be ready to go for training camp at the end of July.

DOLPHINS KICKOFF PRESEASON ON AUGUST 4TH 
The NFL today selected the Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys as the two participants in this year's Hall Of Fame Game, which serves as the kickoff to the preseason schedule. The Dolphins and Cowboys will face each other on Sunday August 4th at 8:00PM ET and will be televised on NBC. This preseason game will also be the first time the Dolphins compete with their new logo and uniforms. It will also be the first time new star wide receiver Mike Wallace will suit up as a member of the Dolphins. With the addition of the Hall Of Fame Game to their preseason schedule, the Dolphins will now play 5 exhibition games before the regular season. The remainder of the preseason schedule and the entire regular season schedule will be released at a later date.

DOLPHINS HAVE 11 DRAFT PICKS IN APRIL'S DRAFT

The Dolphins were already sitting on a large pile of draft picks this year, and that pile increased on Monday as the NFL distributed 32 compensatory draft picks to 16 NFL teams. The Dolphins were one of those teams, and they received an extra 5th round pick and an extra 7th round pick. DOLPHINS CONTINUE TO BOLSTER PASSING GAME

Two days after making three of the biggest signings in the NFL free agency period so far in Mike Wallace, Dannell Ellerbe and Philip Wheeler, the Dolphins made a couple of big moves on Friday to continue to bolster the passing game. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has a couple more weapons this upcoming season as the team signed former New York Jets tight end Dustin Keller and former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brandon Gibson. DOLPHINS SIGN WALLACE TO 5 YEAR, $60 MILLION CONTRACT 
The wait is over as free agency in the NFL is officially open for business.The Dolphins wasted no time as they inked the top free agent available in former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace. ESPN reports the deal is for 5 years, $60 million. Wallace brings much needed speed to the Dolphins passing game and makes the offense a legitimate force to be reckoned with.
