Miami adds to defensive line by drafting Phillips
After doing a bit of shuffling around with the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round the Miami Dolphins selected defensive tackle Jordan Phillips from Oklahoma. Some are considering this pick a shock because Miami was not in need of a defensive tackle especially after signing free agent Ndamukong Suh and Earl Mitchell the year before. However Miami managed to get a few more picks out of the Eagles in the process, though none of them a third round pick.
Miami traded down with the Eagles giving up the 47th and 191st(sixth round) picks for the Eagles 52nd, 145th(fifth round) and 156th(sixth round). With the few extra picks in the later round it can be assumed Miami will look to fill the team's needs with those additional picks.
