Players Arrive For First Stage of Mini-Camp
The Miami Dolphins entered the first phase of the offseason workout program today. Players reported early Monday morning at the Doctors Hospital Training Facility in Davie, Florida to begin league wide voluntary workouts. The Dolphins had a strong showing in attendance today. Among those were newly acquired free agent, defensive star Ndamukong Suh, who sounded eager to begin his role as a Miami Dolphin, ďIt was great. I enjoyed every last bit of it. A lot of informational things today. Itís been good. Itís a very progressive team and Iím seeing it more and more each day Iím here.Ē The only notable absentee today was Dion Jordan, no word as of yet as to why he elected to not attend.
The nine week voluntary program has three phases, the first being limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only, will endure for two weeks. Phase two will have varying on field workouts and drills limited to a one on one basis with no contact and will begin May 4. The third phase will be more in depth and team drills will be permitted.
