    Final word on QB Rivers...

(Forget a trade for San Diego's obtainable Philip Rivers. Miami does not like his athleticism or arm strength).
    There ya have it.

    where did you hear that?

because, IMO, that doesn't sound like an endorsement of Leinart, which I've read rumors we'd do just about anything to get him?

    he has good arm strength.

better than we had in 5 years.

he is the quickest, safest bet to get good qb play soon.

Read Cote's article in the Herald.....the one about sage....it's in that article...or check Boomer's thread.....same thing...
At a television studio in Hollywood on Monday night, Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor was doing the fox trot. He probably was wearing makeup, too.
About an hour south down Interstate 5, quarterback John Beck was on the verge of lining up his chicken nuggets in a shotgun formation.

I loved the two names he coined "Rosenrotte" and "Rottenfels".

As far as the person who started this thread, I definitely wouldn't rule out Philip Rivers. I have heard nothing out of Saban's mouth saying that we're not interested in Rivers. Getting the best available QB is the primary goal this offseason, whether it be Leinart (if we keep losing and have enough ammo), Rivers, Vince Young (if he declares), or whomever. We just need a franchise type QB.

Well...I think Ill reserve my judgement on something more than a (quote) from Cote's article. I am hoping for River's no doubt...but I wouldnt be unhappy with any good QB. Im sooo sick of mediocrity at best at the most important position on the team.

If Rivers was soo good, he'd be starting instead of Drew Brees. You'd think the Chargers would be playing Rivers to show other teams how good he is, but instead theyre playing Brees. Rivers is just worth a lot money even tho he hasnt played much in the NFL. I am not even too keane on drafting a JUNIOR...they play college football for 2 years (most dont start as a freshmen)...i think they gotta play longer to show themselves more. People who come into the draft as a Junior probably just cant wait to get MONEY.....guys like Leinart stayed the extra year to show off what he has. I like that.
