After Misses in Panthers Game, Dallas Cuts Cundiff

Billy Cundiff was saved by a running-into-the-kicker penalty against Julius Peppers on Saturday. But nothing could save Cundiff from the ire of coach Bill Parcells.

The Dallas Cowboys released Cundiff and re-signed kicker Shaun Suisham on Monday.

Cundiff missed a potential game-tying 33-yard field goal with 1:12 left in the fourth quarter of last Saturday's game at Carolina. However, Julius Peppers was called for running into Cundiff, a five-yard penalty. Since the kick came on a 4th-and-4 play, the Cowboys got an automatic first down. Three plays later, Drew Bledsoe hit Terry Glenn with a two-yard touchdown pass with 24 seconds left to give Dallas a dramatic 24-20 win.

thats like, the 5th time they've cut that guy?

Dallas just needs to make up their mind. They would have brought back Cortez, except last time they cut him Seattle picked him up.

I think Dallas should draft a kicker in the 2nd round

either that or get Sea-bass from Oakland - word is he will be a cap casualty.
