Hey wild bill you a marine? Semper fi. Why is it the Democrats always go against EVERYTHING that the president comes up with then tries to act as if they are fighting for whats right and then you look at the votes and they get CRUSHED. I would like to trust that a majority of people in congress have our intrests at hand. I know there are some who polarize but if most are not lookin out for the nation, we are doomed and it doesnt seem like we are doomed.

Former Marine now. Do or die. Honestly, I would like to think that both parties have the same end goal for this country, but with such different ideas for solutions, it seems that niether party is willing to give into the other. Maybe this is a pride thing? I think the biggest problem is that we have this perception that things were "better back in the day" and that perception is really BS. There has never been a period of time in the US or any other nation where there was complete harmony within the political structure.
