    Peyton Manning

Raiders, Bettis among 12 things to watch

The Colts are trying to figure out how to restructure and extend the contract of quarterback Peyton Manning. He currently counts $15.3 million against the cap.

Why don't the just cut him...
Once, after a blast of six or seven yards, Brown was the first to regain his feet. When he got back to the huddle he was blowing hard - but the inert figures of three Giants marked the trail where he had passed, like the breadcrumbs on the forest path of Hansel and Gretel. For mercurial speed, airy nimbleness and explosive violence in one package of undistilled evil, there is no other like Mr. Brown.

    ***maddog:

manning play fakes to ricky, sits back there with all day to throw, mcknight gets free down the sideline and manning hits him in stride, fins strike again for a 37-6 lead at the ralph***

more like Manning steps to line audibles. Fake to Ricky. Manning throws - another INT. Wanne is furious on the sidelines -looks like the Pats know the Phins audibles. Why did Manning not just hand off to Ricky this late in the game :goof:

You're almost right except it's more like this: Manning steps to the line, reads the defense, audibles, the receivers shift, the defense shifts, he doesn't like what he sees so he audibles again, causing the FB to flank out wide, the defense doesn't shift so he second guesses himself and audibles again, causing the FB to shift back into the and "I" formation and the #3 WR to lineup as a TE. Manning then audibles again to make sure he's sufficiently thrown the defense off, but this time his center flanks out into the slot and Edge lines up at center. Just for good measure, Manning audibles five more times where he ultimately puts the team back into the exact same position they were in to begin with, takes the snap in a hurry because he's running out of time, and throws the INT.

Sure he's thrown for 600 yards this day but three of his TD's were to the wrong team.

wow, looks like manning has lost alot of respect around these boards...he's the QB i'm most terrified of, can strike at anytime form any spot on the field.

by the way, if we miraculously picked up manning, this site would crash.

lol, you're probably right. actually, he probably would have coughed it up inside the 5 as soon as a DB breathed on him.
