Fifa WC 2006 is only focused in the world cup and its qualification, it has every world cup stadium and some international ones, almost every national team with the new official kits, qualified or not, so you can play from the start of the qualification round to the final game.

Fifa 06, in the other hand, have less national teams, but includes a lot of national leagues; teams from the Premier League, Calccio Italiano, LFP (spain), Bundesliga (germany), MLS, and even the mexican and brazilian leagues. Here you can find stadiums from all over the world.

About the gameplay, WC is more simulation like, is harder to score, that means closer results and much more exciting games. In fifa 06 you quickly get bored because there are some ways that you almost never will miss a goal.

In graphics, both games are really good, but again WC is better, but not for too much, they improved the light effects.

If you are choosing between both games, I recomend you buy WC, it's really exciting, and THIS ONE feels like real soccer, I love this game.

i bought WC before i saw this post but so far its pretty good. I dont like af ew thing such as the free kick/corner kicks b/c before u could put spin on the ball and curve it due to it being an arrow now its like nothing and i dont like the graphics as much as far as details. You can't tell if you scored a goal or not unless its the replay/celebration cuz u dont see the ball go in. Btw, what do u do to kick a from pretty good distance? If I kick it at full strenght it obvoulys flies away but if i do it at a med. strenght i always (3 times) hit the Top post or goes into the goalies chest. I want to kick it full strenght but keep th eball low so it wont sail away. You got ne tips?

I bought Fifa 06 a week and a bit ago and am absolutely hooked. The dynasty/career mode is absolutely awesome and WC doesn't have that. The benefit I saw in buying FIfa 06 opposed to WC was that you can play international games in Fifa 06 anyway. I created a tournament called World Cup and although it's not 100% accurate, it's a 32 intnl teamed, 4 pools + knockout set-up just like the World Cup itself.

I also figured that WC will drop in price after the world cup, and when Fifa 07 comes out, so I'll buy WC 2006 then.

Question about WC: Can you choose your international squads? In Fifa 06, you can choose your international squads from any players that are from the given countries which I think is an awesome addition.

    Is it 3am yet?

I know what you're talking about,it's really cool. In WC you can choose your squad, but it's not like that: at the start of the world cup, after you choose your team, you select "use default squads" or "choose squads", if you select choose squads you open a list of about 40 players and you select the 22 players that go to the cup.

I thought it was like that. I didn't think they'd have all players loaded into WC and that's something pretty cool for Fifa. I'll still buy WC when it comes on sale though.

Kinda sucks Fifa misses some international teams such as Netherlands, Japan..
