    Favorite Football Video Game

Hopefully I wont get ripped for this not being about REAL football, but I would just like to get as many people's take on what their favorite football video game growing up was... Could it be original NES 10-Yard Fight where all you could really do was lateral the ball... Maybe it Tecmo Bowl where you could throw a ball 117 yards in the air with Marino to a wide open Mark Clayton... or just maybe it was Joe Montana "Talking" football that featured the first voice commentary... lets take a trip down memory lane :bob:

For me it had to be the aformentioned Tecmo Bowl... the long passes... the ridiculous runs you could do with Bo Jackson...the fact that if you used Lawrence Taylor you could intercept the ball almost everywhere. It was just plain fun, and actually challenging once you got into the later weeks. Not like todays games.

    Tecmo Bowl

Todd Christensen, the unstoppable play. I was never a Raiders fan, but I found that one of the four plays would allow him to get open deep over the middle every time.

And the great thing about Tecmo Bowl was that you could play it with anybody. Now it takes weeks just to figure out all the controls to be able to play decently, unless you are used to it and play Madden every year.
"The dolphin is one of the fastest and smartest creatures of the sea," Joe Robbie said in announcing the team name on October 8, 1965. "Dolphins can attack and kill a shark or a whale. Sailors say bad luck will come to anyone who harms one of them."

I think it was with the Bears (maybe the Giants) you could ALWAYS block field goals/extra points. EVERY single time.

ESPN 2K5 is still the standard in football games for me. Hopefully Madden 07 for 360 will fix that.

It might have been both... I remember with the Giants you could always use the one guy who was behind the line of scrimmage (i think it was LT) and he would always get there in time... Its possible that you could do it with the Bears too as I think that player was Singletary

Front Page Sports football 95. This game was years ahead of the competition. Made Madden 95 look like a children's game.
