    Gun Control

I don't watch much of the news because it's usually depressing and very sad to see what world we live in. However whenever I do watch it, there are tons of stories on shootings, murders, etc. So I was wondering what could be done, or what is being done to control gun violence. It seems to be getting more and more out of control.

    discuss...

If there were no guns the same ppl would still do the same things they are doing. They would use knives not guns is all.

Of course I am not referring to accidental shootings. An accidental knifing is far less deadly to be sure.

There should be some limit. There's really no reason for civilians to carry automatic weapons.

You've got idiots on one side who think that every gun should be removed, balanced by idiots on the other side who think that .50 cal rifles and automatic weapons are ok for everyone to own. If we could get all the idiots out of the way we could actually get decent laws that might actually be enforced. Because many of the laws currently on the books are ignored.

In the words of Chris Rock we dont need gun control we need bullet control.

All joking aside I think man will always find a way to kill each other guns or not. They do need however to monitor gun shows and gun stores more, as well as the manufacturers.

There was a congresswoman, I think from Pennsylvania, who had an excellent idea once: engrave every bullet with a serial number so that you can track the registration.

gun control wouldnt do anything. i got someone i can walk in their house right now and buy an AK-47, glock 17 and many other hand guns for cheap. for the most part i think the people that actually buy guns from stores and such dont go and commit crimes with them.

    i got a few quotes:

"Don't think of it as `gun control', think of it as `victim disarmament'. If we make enough laws, we can all be criminals." -- Jeff Snyder

Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.
-- James Madison, The Federalist Papers

"Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."
-- Mohandas Gandhi, An Autobiography, pg 446

one of the big reasons for first implimenting the "right to bear arms", was to allow the people to have the ability to overthrow the government if it became corrupt or took away the rights of the people.
    Bills fan for life.
and yes, i know i can't spell worth a damn.

Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days.. Ah. Ah. Ah. I just kick this piece of **** out the window.
