    Daunte Culpepper vs. Nick Saban

Not only is Daunte horrible, he's starting to act like Terrel Owens. ESPN posted the link stating that Pep and Saban fought over starting Harrington on Sunday.

I'm not sure how Daunte could argue his case that he should be the starting QB at this point in the season. And, it's starting to look like Saban should have stayed in college as a coach, much like Pete Carroll @ USC. He has been consistantly unimpressive since his arrival.

I'd say it's time to ditch the old 3-4 defense and back to the 4-3.

Man, it'd be nice to have Drew Brees at this point.

I'm not a big Saban fan but I believe that he deserves credit for doing what he thinks is best for the Dolphins. He hasn't hid behind his less-than-expected first round draft pick instead he keeps the guy on the bench. He hasn't dumped Wright because the guy represents potential value to the team. If Dante is a bust he is not afraid to switch QBs. Maybe Saban is in over his head but he does have credibility.

constantly unimpressive? what in the world to you expect a guy who's been in the league for a year and a half to do? Give the man at least four years before making glib remarks

First off we had a 9 - 7 record last year lets not forget that. Second thing is we wanted Drew Brees but we couldn't afford him doesn't people understand that. Culpepper came a whole lot cheaper against the Salary Cap. We the little moves we made in the offseason we are still one of the highest cap riddled teams. Until we unload salary's of some of these older vets it will continue.

Side note... In my opinion this team is going to be much younger next year. We will have guys like Fred Evans, Rod Right, Vickerson, Roth playing and Channing will take over Zach's spot and Zach will be let go. That's just in the front 7.

There's another thread you might enjoy: "Daunte's Being Unbelievably Selfish" (started by me, but with a lot of different people's opinions on Daunte and Saban's argument as well as Daunte's attitude at present).

I'm never amazed at the stupidity of some posters. I'm sorry if that offends, but it is accurate.
Daunte horrible? No he hasn't played great, but horrible?
Acting like Terrel Owens? How so?

Saban has been been consistantly unimpressive since his arrival? Taking ateam that was 4-12 and going 9-7 is unimpressive? What did you expect?

It's time to ditch the old 3-4 defense and back to the 4-3? Our defense played lights out. We stumped the best Qb in the league and almost completely neutralised one of the league's best running attacks. The 3-4 was looking pretty darn good to me. I don't know what game you were watching.

oh stop. what do u think culpepper is gonna be happy about not starting? have you ever considered that he was healthy enough to do good in practice monday. maybe it cam across your mind that his injury was a scapegoat for putting harrington in there. would you be happy if you were him? hell no.

Wait a minute... let's think about this. Hypothetically, if your boss came to you and told you that you were going to be replaced or demoted would you not plead your case!

I just think it shows that CP is very competitive and wants to play. If he didn't care he would accept it, walk away quietly and still collect his paycheck.

I don't know about you but I would definately be pleading my case as well!

Saban is the coach. What he says is what goes. Right or wrong he makes the decisions and the players will have to learn to live with it.

Really annoying when multiple threads like this are started. I compare it favorably to the Ronnie Brown threads. One person says Ronnie has "bad vision" and then all of a sudden we have 100 other fans using that statement when they cant think of a reason to criticize ronnie's play just because he hasn't had a huge rushing year to this point. Are there questions about his vision? Sure.

Does everyone and there brother take one persons opinion and spin it to death even though they dont have a clue if he really does or doesn't have good vision....everyday! Sorry for the rant.
