Pay cuts, added responsibilty, broken promises, etc. Yeah, I've been unhappy for a while. And those scumbags have been looking for a reason to get rid of somebody. And today was the last straw. I could have saved my job. But I was tired of being abused.
Anyway, I've been offered a 2-week severence package. Obviously I'd rather bleed them to death via unemployment. My question is, what are the rules of unemployment. What I mean is, how many times can they refuse you before you win out?? This company fights unemployment tooth and nail. So I know he'll (the owner) refuse to pay it.
And if I sign anything (with that company in regards to my layoff), does that forfeit my right to unemployment?? I have to go up there tomorrow and pick up something I purchased yesterday.
