Who'd you see for your first concert?

    And was it worth remembering?

I went to see Eric Clapton on the 'Journeyman' tour in '89, and it was awesome. He puts on a great concert. Also, it was the first time I saw people old enough to be my grandparents passing me a joint.

My first concert was a big radio fest with the head line band: blink-182 and Green Day. Other bands that played that day: New Found Glory, Sum-41, Good Charlotte, Stroke 9, Alien Ant Farm, Saliva, Saves the Day and Less Than Jake. There were more but I can't remember them all it went from 1pm to 11pm, it was sweet as hell. I got to meet Travis Barker and the guys from GC.

    Jimmy Buffet.

Some little waterfront stadium on Key Biscayne in Miami.
Don't even remember what they called the place and way too long ago to even remember the year! Was sometime in the 80's.

    Was fantastic.

Were just as many people on boats and intertubes in the water then there were in the actual seats.

Lou Christie, singing "Two Faces Have I". I think 1962-63, no joints being passed around in Jville coliseum then jdog. By 73 a different story though.
I never had any large respect for good spelling. That is my feeling yet. Before the spelling-book came with its arbitrary forms, men unconsciously revealed shades of their characters and also added enlightening shades of expression to what they wrote by their spelling, and so it is possible that the spelling-book has been a doubtful benevolence to us.
