    Russian SU-30 WOW

Serious footage of a Russian made SU-30. Pretty amazing, and although our F-16 will outrun, and perhaps the F-22 will menuever with it, for a Jet this size to be defying gravity like this is nothing short of phenominal. I like the part where he pivots for a few full rotations.

    The link isnt working.

The F22's Maneuvering capabilities is just the tip of the iceberg. The reality is, the Su-30 would not even be able to get a lock on a Raptor before the Su-30 would be forced to take evasive maneuvers itself. The beauty of the Raptor is it's true stealth capabilities that allow it to get a fix on it's target first, from a farther distance. The fact that the F22 can turn as tight as it does only matters for dog fighting, and I cannot see a Su-30 surviving long enough to get into a dog fight.

Still a very nice aircraft though.

    F-22 Raptor

    Su-30 Sukhoi

Im not taking anything away from the russian Sukhoi, it is a nice aircraft. Good thing for the US though that we designed an aircraft to completely counter the Flanker C.

Oh I agree, the F-22 is untouchable, and actually I would put a Superhornet up against anything else on the planet, but that is some pretty impressive menouvers by such a large jet all the same...

Dang link I will see if I can fix it...

Have you read about the testing we did with the F22 last year? Pretty crazy considering the F22 is still undergoing upgrades to be completely ready to start replacing older aircraft.

In early 2006, after an exercise involving just eight F-22s in Nevada in Nov. 2005, Lieutenant Colonel Jim Hecker, commander of the 27th Fighter Squadron (FS) at Langley AFB, Virginia, commented "We killed 33 F-15Cs and didn't suffer a single loss. They didn't see us at all."[34]

In June 2006 during Exercise Northern Edge (Alaska's largest joint military training exercise), the F-22A achieved a 144-to-zero kill-to-loss ratio against F-15s, F-16s and F/A-18s simulating MiG-29 'Fulcrums', Su-30 'Flankers', and other current front line Russian aircraft, which outnumbered the F-22A 4 to 1 at times.
Not sure if this is the same video you were posting but here is from the Russian Air Show from 2006.

Although the F22 is a great weapon. It is grossly expensive.
It will be 10+ years before they produce enough to replace our current stock of F15s/f16s.

Actually the F22 is never going to replace the F15, its just too expensive. I dont remember who is building it but the new F15 replacement is already in the works. It will be used by all branches of the military, have a cruise speed over mach 1 (without burners) and be able to take off and land vertically.

Now that is impressive. 33 to 0 against F15C's. Wow.

The Russian jet is sweet, but I don't think it compares to the F-22.

I like the F-35...it will replace the F-16, and some of these will be able to hover and takeoff/land vertially like a Harrier Jet....they have some amazing firepower on these new jets. The F-35 is also amost invisible to radar.

    GO AIR FORCE.
