Stephen Morris blows. I don't understand what the hype is all about, but then again I don't get fascinated with guys over measurables.

Florida has one hell of a defense, so you cannot pin this all on Morris and the WRs. We are a extremely talented team on offense, and I still have a lot of confidence in it. Miami will not see a better defense this year, unless its against Clemson in the ACC Championship, and/or a BCS game.

Talking about defenses though, MAN, has the Canes D improved since last season. Our Dline did quite the job against the Gators Oline, and the only successful runs Florida had was to the outside. This defense is going to be good over the next couple of seasons.

I love what they said just now in the post game show; the NCAA needs to just drop the case against the U. With the self-imposed sanctions, and the ridiculous moves the NCAA made over the summer should prove that. Its been over two years, and they still havent finished. Enough is enough! Regardless, Golden is doing a hell of a job recruiting, and could very well have a top 2-3 class this year.

Our guys played about how I expected. Tough as nails on D and pure dog**** on O, or at least in the red zone. Maybe we'll find a line and a QB some day.

But a good hard fought game. Your guys earned it.

Our OL is atrocious. Florida's DL is extremely good but our run blocking is really really bad. Duke got hit in the backfield on damn near every run. Not worried about Stephen Morris.

This defense is legit this year. We're not playing bend dont break anymore. D'Onofrio is aggressive this year, has confidence in the players. 3-4 scheme has looked terrific in stopping the run. Held Florida to 2.8 ypc on 44 attempts. DL is greatly improved with Porter finally healthy, and the new additions. Chickillo looks great and McCord has looked great as a pass rush specialist. Tracy Howard is a stud. Not so sure about Crawford. Had some Reggie Howard moments today. I think I'd be more confident with Gunter starting on the outside. I thought he was solid last year. All this without our best player in the secondary, Deon Bush. Really thought he'd play today. Guess we'll see him get some practice in next week in a blowout win.

I agree with most of what you said except the part about not facing another defense as good as Florida's. FSU will make Morris crazy although they will give up some yards on the ground. Miami will have to score nearly 30 to even be in the game which puts Morris under more pressure. Good luck with that! Additionally, I think FSU's defense is better than Clemson's and nearly as good if not as good as Florida's. I have to say that I was very impressed with Miami's defense as well...looked like the old-school Miami D!

Even as an FSU alum, I was a Cane for the day because I hate Florida and love to see the ACC beat the SEC! The ACC is getting some love beating Georgia and Florida. We have to wait until the end of November to exact some revenge on the Gators. What a great year if FSU and Miami pound the Gators!

FSU's D will give Miami trouble but it's not as good as UF's. I don't think Duke is going to get bottled up quite like that again this year. The problem for Miami in that game is FSU has an O-line, a TE, and a QB with a pulse. Actually a little more than that. I'll be watching it.
