People have been saying this since 30 something AD...
    FIRE FAILBIN

Joe Philbin, PowerPoint Guru (Not Head Coach Material)
Philbin ... put it all together in a PowerPoint presentation. Everything about that presentation had to be perfect.

If any PowerPoint slide had a spelling or grammar mistake, any typo, any scheme error, that was my responsibility, just like a teacher, Philbin said.

    I find this response interesting:

Jenkins: Even somebody like Hitler was known as a brilliant mind. He was a student of human nature. He knew how to play on the minds of people and their emotions. He was a brilliant tactician and a great politician. At some point he was the most popular politician in history, but clearly an evil mind.

Truth is, Hitler would never have been able to carry out much of his most nefarious plans were it not for the underpinning of anti-semitism in Germany and the rest of Europe brought about largely by Christianity..

Hitler himself was greatly influenced by Christianity and used alot of its imagery in his propaganda..

While many Germans werent openly shoving their jewish brothers into furnaces, they did turn a blind eye as those "greedy Christ-killers" were being incinerated..

"Just as the Jew could once incite the mob of Jerusalem against Christ, so today he must succeed in inciting folk who have been duped into madness to attack those who, God's truth! seek to deal with this people in utter honesty and sincerity."

-Adolf Hitler, in Munich, 28 July 1922

Hitler was an enemy of Christianity. He viewed it as a threat to his control. The reason the Jews were targeted is far more complex than your simplistic explanation. The biggest fear in Europe at the time wasn't the Jews but rather Communism. Unfortunately for the Jews, the majority of the communist leadership at the time was jewish, a fact Hitler was quick to exploit. Hitler was elected because he was seen as strong enough to fight off the communist menace. The fact that the threat could be pinned on a minority just made it that much easier. (If Bush had rounded up all Muslims after 9/11 what percentage of Americans wouldve fought it? Hopefully more than 50% but you know a large percentage would've been for it)

As for Hitler's religious views, they were mostly aetheistic though he used a mix of Aryan Mythology, Occult, Christian Symbolism and ancient Pagan practices to entice the populace with spectacle and nationalism. Hitler was smart in that he didnt attack the Church initiially, but waited until his power was secure eneough that he could do it beneath the radar

This was the Nazi plan for Christianity

Other members of the Hitler government, including Rosenberg, during the war formulated a thirty-point program for the "National Reich Church" which included:
    • The National Reich Church claims exclusive right and control over all Churches.
    • The National Church is determined to exterminate foreign Christian faiths imported into Germany in the ill omened year 800.
    • The National Church demands immediate cessation of the publishing and dissemination of the Bible.
    • The National Church will clear away from its alters all crucifixes, Bibles and pictures of saints.
    • On the alters there must be nothing but Mein Kampf and to the left of the alter a sword.[4]

I never said that Christianity was the only reason the Jews were targeted, but it was a major player.. The building anti-semetism throughout the past 2 millenia harkens largely back to the more recent gospels in the New Testament.. As you go forward in chronology in the gospels, the language and reaction towards the jews begins to become increasingly more inculpatory in regards to their role in the execution of Christ..

Of course, being that many jews had work with finances, they were viewed as villains in times of economic hardship.. an easy scapegoat though, considering the religious subtext that permeated through much of Europe for most of the last 2 millenia..

I would argue that its not religion but minority status that leads to these types of scenarios. The minority is always at risk of taking the blame for bad things by a charismatic leader inciting the majority into mob mentality. Whether its race (The KKK), religion (the Inquisition), social status (the French Revolution), wealth (The Russian Revolution), the majority is always prone to turn on the minority.

You are correct that there will always be an underlying animosity between Jews and Christians just as there will always be animosity between Muslims and Christians. It has to be since the existence of each is a threat against the others. To be Jewish is to reject the divinity of Christ just as being Christian is to reject the notion that Muhammad was God's messenger. Built into each philosophy is the seed of periodic warfare with the others. Yopu are correct that this exists but I would argue it is only unleashed as an excuse to further different aims by those in power

You never see pogroms in good times. Its only when everything falls apart and someone needs to be blamed that people eye the minority with suspicion. But its not because of the religion, its because of the hardship

Hitler's motivations for driving the Jews out were primarily about racial purity and Lebensraum for his superior race. Christianity is truly an afterthought in Hitler's overall Weltanschauung.

If LaHaye and Jenkins were paying attention to what Jesus says (only the Father knows the hour) they would not be making predictions.

Yes, there are many things happening today that warn us that we've got to be really prepared at any time. Daniel 12 [says that] people will run to and fro on the Earth, and knowledge will be increased. Well, look at the [today's] traffic pattern. There wouldn't be any traffic movement unless knowledge had been increased. In just the last 125 years, the speed of travel--people running to and fro--has gone up from horseback, which may be 20 miles an hour, until it just skyrocketed [to] 24,000 miles an hour today.
So because people travel alot and we are generally more intelligent(or so we think) than people over 1,000 years ago means that the end is near, based on this generalization?
Once Dmac is drafted a Dmac Jersey will spontaneously materialize in the closet of each and every Dolfan...

...and not that replica crap either...
