    Organic system for cleansing water

    http://web.israel21c.net/bin/en.jsp?...ne=Technology&

Among the chemicals that can be cleaned from water and land include heavy metals, hormones, and residue from gas stations. In some cases, the plants can even digest explosives and pesticides.

The EPA/FDA/USDA use plants now to clean contaminated sites, oil spills etc.. in the US, its called phytoremediation. Really cool that this technology is being used.

Yeah, both articles talk about the same basic concept, although Cohen's system also includes the substrate for growing the plants and aerating the system according to some engineering that it doesn't explain. Do you know if that is universal in phytoremediation?
