World of Warcraft Continues to Pwn the PC World

Blizzard announced that WoW (the famous MMO) has eclipsed 10 million subscribers.

    That's a lot of cheddar.

If they could find a way to make this game work on the Xbox I would probably buy it again.

Thanks Mor did not want to hijack your thread.

When roaming the land scape is PKin' a problem or can you go about you business unhampered. I liked to solo a lot when I played Diablo2 and such and I noticed a lot of the MMO games (guild wars etc.. ) don't tend to be very solo friendly, How about WOW?

there are different types of servers...

    pve - 'player vs environment'

    pvp - 'player vs player'

the servers are labeled as such (there is also RP 'role playing' servers, but role playing is ghey so don't worry about those...lol

basically the only difference is, that on a pvp server, from about lvl 20 on, you will be in areas that are contested, meaning they are controlled by neither the alliance nor the horde, and its open season....you can be sitting there killing a boar for a quest or whatever, and a player of the opposite faction can 'gank' you.

pve servers you have to 'flag' yourself as pvp to do this, basically giving you the choice of whether or not you want to 'pvp'.

there is a ton of content, solo, group, pvp type content...battlegrounds, arenas...

you can play this game for a year and barely scratch the surface of the content of this game...it is great, but a major time sink (its just so damn addictive)
