the fact that you could copy games for dreamcast i think ran the system out of business. me and my buddies would smoke and play marvel vs capcom 2 for hours.
I saw that. That was really cool.

I am sure that was part of it. They should take a page out of Sony's book and crack down on piracy.

Even the loading screen (the one with the NFL 2k Logo appearing and scrolling at 2:46) looks cool. Man I feel like pulling out my Dreamcast and playing it.

The only problem i ever had with the ssytem was the VMU hefty price, it cuold hold just two games at time and sometimes even one, that was a pathetic strategy of sega which i'm pretty sure made a fair amount of it's customers mad.

40 dollars vmu + The game 40 price = 80, 80 dollars per title technically was absurd.

Dude, I seriously don't know what kind of VMU you were using but I only had one and it did everything I needed it too. I am actually curious here not just being sarcastic.

I am reffering to the official sega one's that were $35-40 at the prime of the dreamcast somewhere during the year 2000.

When the dreamcast production stopped and system's were dropped to $99(console) & $120 with the sega sports pack, The Vmu's dropped to $20.

I shopped at Toys r us by the way.

I thought the VMU was a really cool idea. I remember playing 2K Basketball and it would track player fatigue, which helped me with timeout strategy. I do remember them starting out at like $40, but then dropping shortly after that.

I loved me some Dreamcast. My favorite game:

I also liked NFL2K and Sonic. Everytime I think of Dreamcast I think about the South Park episode where Cartman convinces the guys the tooth fairy will give them enough money to buy a "Seeeeggga-Dreamcast" haha good stuf.
I'm not a Mets fan, but I can relate:
"Being a Mets Fan is like being in love with an Alcoholic. "people ask why don't you just leave them" We Can't "cause we love them". Even though we know they are not going to change..." - Jim Breuer
