Fox ranks Miami worst drafting team of the past 5 years

    Not much of surprise.

    http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8068662?MSNHPHMA

    32. Miami Dolphins
Current roster: 19 of 38 picks (seven starters, one specialist). This number is skewed by the 2007 draft, as all 10 selections were kept as part of a youth movement. Tackle Vernon Carey and safety Yeremiah Bell are the only two remaining members from the 15 players chosen in 2003 and 2004.

    The Wanny and Saban years

But yeah last year they did much better, Mueller and Cam deserve credit for that.

At least 6 players from those drafts are playing for other teams in the nfl, so we werent drafting total bums. 4 coaching changed in 5 years wont give you a cohesive roster either.

I agree with The Juggernaut, Cam and Meuller did well in their only draft. Unfortunately, we have to go back to Jimmy Johnson to find the previous good draft. I agree with the ranking ... we've been terrible. Spielman never ever ever should have been given the keys to the draft room.

I do have faith that Ireland and the others will get us some talent though. And remember, Cam/Meuller left us with another parting gift in a 2nd rounder for Chambers ... and first pick in every round. So, Ireland is going to have a lot more ammunition than Meuller had, so we should expect a much better draft.

Not surprised at all. Our teams is filled with questionable picks. It was even worse before 03 after JJ left

I'm not shocked. When you look at the fact that our best player was drafted in 97, and then the majority of the other guys we drafted are from last year or from Ronnie's draft.

I don't agree with Allen being the worst though. EDDIE MOORE is still the worst.

    7 starters?

I count as many as 10: Bell, Carey, Ronnie, Roth, Crowder, J.Allen, Ginn, Beck, Satele, Mauia. Could be as low as 5 I guess, but if I had to set a depth chart today, all 10 of these guys are starting. This doesn't inlcude Brandon Fields who I assume is the specialist they listed.

EDIT - make that 11, you would have to pencil in Mormino at starting guard as of today.
