**The Official Dark Knight Review Thread**

    What do you think!?

about 10:30 i arrived at the theater, and sat in a packed house full of dressed up fanboys awaiting the most anticipated movie i think i've ever seen. Hype, everywhere, on every website, on every channel on every forum in every country.

So what you all are wondering i suppose is "did it live up to the hype?"

And the answer to that my friends is...........

GO SEE THE MOVIE FOR YOURSELF

With a little spoiler of my own i'll tell you that i will GUARANTEE you will not be disappointed.

I'm a Batman homer, i'm the first to admit it, but i'm not the kind of guy that raves about the guy just because he's Batman. Wouldn't be critical if a movie was bad or something was wrong. Was THIS movie perfect? No......It had its weaknesses and i'll let you folks figure them out on your own. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go see it. It's flat out the GREATEST superhero movie of all-time. No question. No contest. No debate.

    ALTHOUGH

Problems i had with the movie:

    - Rachel Dawes: Sorry Maggie, but it looks like it wasn't just Katie Holmes i hated. I think i just hate the character. I dont know what it is but i dont think anyone could portray her and i'd actually like it. She's Bruce's childhood friend, the woman he loves, certainly a big part of the movie storyline yet i cant just help wishing she'd go away.

    - Sal Maroni: What happened? What happened to the mob in general? They're so dangerous and lethal but they dont even do anything in the movie. Falcone in the last movie at least was a threat. Eric Roberts reminded me of some kind of mob movie spoof. I was hoping for a lot more from him.

    - Batman: Talking like he's been smoking for 32 years? I didn't like this in Batman Begins and now that he actually spoke A LOT in this movie i didn't like it even more. I could live with Batman not really looking like Batman, no yellow utility belt etc. But at least sound human. The bat signal still looks ****ty too.

Still an excellent movie, not perfect, not the best movie i've ever seen.

i would have to say i agree...of course, who knows what goes into that process but it was easily the best performance i've seen this year...and I'm not a huge fan of his work by any means.....but the way he carried off the role as the Joker was really impressive...

Ledger is terrific in the film, but people say he "makes" the movie. While i agree this movie is not nearly as good without him, i think there are equally brilliant performances from his supporting cast, including Aaron Eckhart who is a terrific Harvey Dent/Two-Face. This is a must see film there is no doubt about it. I dont know about it being a best picture candidate, it might be in what i would consider thus far a "weak" year. But it is really incredible.

saw the movie was great it was a little long but oh well
Winning may not be everything, but losing has little to recommend it.

But with the length of this movie, i sat there fine, 152 minutes no problem, not uncomfortable in the list, getting later and later not bothering me because this movie was just so good. I think when you go to a movie and you find yourself not wanting it to end, thats when you really can measure how good it is.

I thought it was incredible. It may be one of my favorite all-time movies. I won't know until more time has passed if it will stand up to repeated viewings but coming right out of the theater I certainly feel like it will.
