The HERD on ESPN Radio: Phins better record than Browns?

Just listening to the Herd on ESPN Radio.
Colin just said that right now, he can see Miami finishing with a better record than Cleveland. He was talking about how it's a QB driven league and that the Browns take too many risks and are not smart enough with the ball, and that they are in dissaray right now. It sure seemed like kind of a quiet nod to Pennington...

He then went on to say that he's not as high on Dallas because while all the other top teams are loosing key players (San Diego, Giants, etc) that Dallas lost something even more important... coaches and personnel.... That's 'cause we've got them all! Mwa ha ha.

Up here in the midwest, the only 'phins news I get is national, and for the past few years it hasn't been good at all. I'm not one to count my chickens before they hatch... and I'd be happy with a 5 or 6 win season, but I must say... it was pretty good to hear some positive coverage on the 'phins for once... Word's gotten out! They're on to us! The 'Phins look like a team again!

Thanks for the update. I usually HATE and DISAGREE with Cowherd but I'll go ahead and give him a break this time, hopefully he is right.

When it comes to the Cowboys, I'm a pragmatist. The Giants just lost Osi Umenyiora and the Redskins may lose Jason Taylor for a litle bit. Those are unqualified positives from the Cowboys' and Eagles' perspectives.

Cleveland's biggest weaknesses are backup RB and defense.

How will Rogers and Williams play in the 3-4? But even with that question, their biggest problem by far is CB. McDonald and Wright didn't look too bad as rookies, but they were not the 1 and 2. How are they gonna play without Leigh Bodden(who rediculously underrated) across from them?

Cleveland's biggest concern are the unrealistic expectations. When you win 10 games out of nowhere and just barely miss the playoffs, EVERYONE expects you to make the next step and get there. We've seen it with the Dolphins before. They overachieved last year though and I just don't see them matching that win total.

Remember everyone picking us in the Super Bowl after our 9-7 surprise in 2005?

Exactly, this is very similar. They are good and could make playoffs but they have very big bust potential

That and the Browns starters have looked freaking awful in the preseason (yes, yes, I know the "preseason"). They havent really been able to show that progression to the next level yet.
