I thought it was overall a great show for both men. Little funny to hear the groans above the silence when Obama joked about AIG and the economy. Talk about too soon........
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
Obama: My greatest weakness...Its possible im a little too awesome.
I thought McCain's speech was much, much better than Barack's... McCain's delivery is just so uncomfortable....
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
That was great comedy. Glad to see that these two can poke fun right in the midst of one of the more serious times in America, and Hillary too.
I have always said that anything can be resolved by two men sitting down and talking over a beer, with pre-conditions of course! bada bop crash!
Players come and go, but I will always be a Miami Dolphins Fan first and foremost.
Both were pretty funny, I have to admit though, I liked Obama's line about McCain having a tough primary running against a cross-dressing republican.
I thought they were both pretty funny. I only saw bits of it on AFN News here, but FoxNews spliced it together when McCain was referring to Obama being "The One" and how he just referred to him as "That One"...then went right to Obama who said his name Barack is Swahilli for "That One". Made for a good chuckle.
If the internet here wasn't so damned slow, I'd pull up the youtube links and watch them.
All in all...good laughs
I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.-Winston Churchill
All things being equal, when you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.-Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
McCain's performance can have dividends for him. One of the problems with his campaign is that he hasn't seemed very authentic, but with performances like this he can look a bit more human.
