Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I have just heard some people say stuff like Joey Porter got 'stoned' by Clady or that Clady looked like a 'veteran All Pro' against him, and that just isn't true. He did well for a rookie but Porter still took him to school a good amount of time and got pressure on Cutler, who generally is amongst the best at not giving up a sack (Marino-like).I fully agree with you on Clady, he may not have given up the sacks . . . but Joey was giving him fits . . . and he was getting pressure and Cutler felt that pressure and turned it over 3 times. Still a great pick for the Bronco's and a very impressive LT, but I'll keep Big Jake.
Yeah, surprised...but after that deep throw, it didn't happen again. I don't care what the refs called, that was poor defense on a deep ball against a guy that does not have Jason Allen's long speed. JA has a ways to go. He should continue to be brought along slowly now that he's permanently fixed at the CB spot.I was SUPRISED that we threw Jason Allen on Brandon . . . in man coverage . . . that is amazing confidence in a kid who obviously was in the dog house earlier this year . . . but he has looked tremendous since being thrown in there and just like last year, the secondary seems to play better when he is in there. U can't stick him on a #1 yet, but he has the skills and talent to matchup against the best WR's . . . he has gotta get used to playing CB . . . but its good to see him out there.
Three straight home games. Should be fun. This home stand we have comming is gonna be huge . . . 2 very winnable games comming up . . . then we get New England at home . . . which may be for the division lead. Get it going Dolphins . . . u got alot of people smiling hard right now.
We have yet to see Soliai get any kind of extended action. He was suspended when Ferg missed a game. I agree that Ferg has been critical to the D, but I wouldn't use the term "screwed" until we actually see our primary backup NT get into the game a little more in his place and show some weaknesses. Randy Starks has not practiced at NT, he was thrust in very suddenly and unexpectedly against the Ravens.
I dont know if Ronnie was tentative as much as it seemed like he was just flat out slipping on the grass in the 2nd half. If you have ever played a sport (even wearing spikes) and you sensed the field was slick for any reason, you may have be running almost like tip-toes. I didnt really notice many other players slipping though. Hmmm.
Nice Post CK.
Bell did have a very inconsistent game. He need to make that pick cause that Ices the game. Gotta get that. Plus his coverage of a fullback and missing tackles on the fullback can't happen. Not to be a playmaker. He brings a toughness to our backline but we need someone who closes out the game not make little mistakes that keep drives alive.
Jason Allen play alright, that one play he gave up he looked unsure for some resason. He almost looked like he stopped running for a splitsecond, not sure why.
Ronnie did look tentative except the one play where the went offtackle left, he had a nice 8 yard gain on that play. I like when he runs that way. I think he gets tentative when the line isn't opening nice holes for him. Denver sold out to stop the run yesterday. Ronnie has to run like Emmitt Smith did on those plays, trust the call and just run it there. I forget which coach said this about Emmitt but he said one of his best traits was he trusted the call and ran to where it was supposed to. Ronnie needs to do the same. Get 1 or 2 yards instead of trying to make something happen and losing 3. We don't play well on 2nd and 13.
Overall the D won this game, first time I really thought that this year. If the D can play this way the rest of the way and the offense can keep itself balanced we could do some damage. Well Done Dolphins.
The one and only, CK...
What is good for us, but sad for the Bronco's is that the push marshall was called for was not needed. Had the push not knock jason offstride it wouldn't have been called and he would have still caught the ball. If marshall was the one we had to stop and jason was on him, why wasn't the safety anywhere near the play. The safety was way late getting over. I can only listen to the games on the internet, don't have direct TV. I'm glad that they did call it. I'm tired of wide recivers getting away with pushes and CB's get called for breathing to hard on the recievers. Michael Irvin may be in the hall of fame because he developed the push off to an art form.
Nice read buddy, talking about sintim, i'm definitely feeling him right now. He has everything you'd look for, i'm wondering if maybe he'll shoot up draft boards... the browns, 49ers and chargers will consider drafting him to play in their respective 3-4 defenses...
