Akira, bar none the single most disturbing i've ever seen. And it's a cartoon, a very... very gruesome cartoon.

I love that movie. I always wished they made a sequel. There is so much you can do with a ship that can cross univereses. That scene is f*cking crazy too! :jcane:

    That movie is great.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Gummo" yet.

I saw "A Clockwork Orange" a few nights ago. Id say it was more interesting and weird than disturbing, but it certainly had a few disturbing scenes in it.

Finally got around to watching the French horror flick Martyrs (I think somebody mentioned it on the previous page). HO-LEEEEEE CRAP! These French horror movies are kicking all kinds of butt.

The first half starts out as a revenge flick but then turns into something completely different. Some people seem to HATE the sudden switch while others go with it. Personally, I just fast forwarded through some of the second half (it's pretty much a 15 minute, dialogue free montage of a girl getting beat and tortured...seriously). It was still powerful though.

You're either going to like or hate this thing. I liked it, but be warned...it's not for every taste. The French are pretty ****ed up.

I think Shutter Island may be the most disturbing flick I have seen (And I have seen a lot of them).

*SPOILER ALERT* The scene on the lake with Michelle Williams is what gets me *SPOILER*

I've been watching some of these movies you guys have mentioned recently. Gotta say I loved most of them (I don't know, but I always like these intense movies the most). I esp. liked requiem for a dream, American History X (moved up into one of my favorites right away), and martyrs. Watching Event Horizon I noticed that Cooper looks alot like our very own Vontae Davis (maybe its just me).
