"Wolf of Wall Street" coming to theatres.

    http://www.times-standard.com/othervoices/ci_12283679

Guess what? The title “Wolf of Wall Street” has been recycled by Martin Scorsese. It's not the same movie, however. This version is an autobiography of Jordan Belfort. In case you haven't heard of him, he is the 31-year-old multimillionaire stockbroker who soared to the top as a Wall Street whiz in the late 1990s, then landed in prison for swindling investors out of $200 million.
I can't wait. The 2 books about the guy were fantastic, so I imagine the movie will be just as awesome, not to mention that Scorsese is directing it as well.

    Great news.

Belfort comes across as the Hunter S. Thompson of Wall Street. Instead of calling his book “Wolf on Wall Street,” he should have called it “Fear and Loathing on Wall Street.”
The guy was so stoned most of the time that he did monumentally stupid things, such as arguing with the captain of his 167-foot motor yacht and going against his advice about sailing it into a raging Mediterranean storm. The ship sank, but Belfort and crew managed to survive.
In another outrageous incident, Belfort organized a midget-throwing contest to entertain brokers on his trading floor! This tell-all film will reportedly be released by Warner Bros. Pictures next year. It's promoted as a crime/drama film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Just a few of the many outrageous stories.

Figures DiCaprio is going to play him, he's Scorsese's new De Niro.

I don't like the DiCraprio choice, I think that someone like Matthew McConaughey would have been a better pick.

Either way, this movie should be great if it's anything like the book.

There are some great stories in that book. My favorite one is how he was so stoned on painkillers, he had double vision, and he flew his helicopter from Manhattan to his house on Long Island with one eye open the entire time.

It's easily the most outrageous thing I've ever read.

Definitely. You should check out the two books he wrote. "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Catching the Wolf of Wall Street".

His cellmate in prison was Tommy Chong.

That prison stay should have been interesting to say the least. I guess if youre going to prison you might as well be rooming with a comedian

No doubt. And the funny part was, Chong thought the guy was full of **** at first, but then he had his wife look it up and saw that the guy was who he said he was.

    Great reads.
