Growing Pains. Henne breaks it, fixes it then breaks it again.

We still all expect too much from this team with the talent we have. Henne stunk up the joint early but then he balled up and recovered and took it to over time. Well with a lot of help from hartline. But still they didnt quit. I never thought we had a shot at the playoffs this year but I want to trust that we have a better team to build on for next year and we do. So I'm sick about the loss but positive about the future.

Why did this thread only get one star? I thought it was a good post, and gives the proper perspective in an otherwise disappointing loss.

Going into the season, I seen MIA for what it was, not what I wanted them to be. People here were saying 10-6/ 11-5. I was in the 7-9/8-8/9-7 realm, and that was with Penny slots at qb.

MIA started the season w/ no upgrades at WR, TE on the offensive side. On the Defensive side I was in the camp that was disappointed w/ the resigning of Chowder and worried about 2 rookie cb's. Throw in...Wilson, who is identical in nature to Bell. How can you have 2 of the same type's of players playing Safety and expect good results?

This season is what it is, year 2 of a 4 year building plan. MIA made the playoffs last year behind 'smoke and mirrors'. This year MIA is a team with abundance of youth at key positions and aging stars.

Next year is the year to expect 11-5 or so IMO. Henne with a full offseason of throwing and working w/ NFL talent will do wonders IMO for his continued development. I'd venture to say he is learning a helluva alot more this year actually playing and yes throwing INTs, then he did all last year holding a clip board.

I believe Jaws said it best, " A offseason of throwing 25k balls will teach him"

Probably either a troll or one of those many posters that are quick to ask for Henne's head.

You get games like these when you have a Qb earning his stripes. That being said.. there have been hall of fame QBs who've had games like this also.

He'll get better.. So will the team as we add a few more pieces.

It was a frustrating day but I am still 100% behind Henne.

Our team just needs to NOT make mistakes (coughturnoverscough). We arent the Saints or Colts where we can dig ourselves into a hole and expect to comeback.

We need to be able to stop the run when it matters (we don't) we cannot stop the pass (when it most matters) and we need to impose our will Offensively we are a good draft away from 11-5 as DuBz writes...
    C. Patterson gets indefinitely suspended for "not showing up" and Buttfumble got a raise for "not showing up" - go figure how the JESTS world works?
