Link will explain along with game footage what/how the Engine works within the game. If you wait until the end there are a few more gameplay videos. It looks like it might be more Blitz-esque gameplay, but if they deliver on "motion capturing" it should be fun at the least.
I read up on this game a few months ago and I think it is great for the video game industry.
Madden has officially put the stranglehold on professional football games. To take it even further, EA Sports has as a whole. When you think about it, Madden 10 is a great game, but some improvements are usually lacking every year.
With the announcement of Backbreaker, even though not an NFL game, it will push the limit and bring the competition back. Without any competing titles the Madden series will be slow to raise the bar. Do I think Backbreaker will have what it takes to compete with Madden? I really do hope so because if they don't flop on this initial release, the could be contenders in the future to push EA Sports to the max.
But it will be hard for me to enjoy playing a football game when there are just random teams with random players. The gameplay looks great so I won't knock it until I try it.
Thanks for posting the video!
