America's new standing in the world

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/..._in_the_w.html
In short, the Russians have now shown us what resetting the U.S.-Russian relationship means. Putin has figured out that there is no risk - so long as you aren't a small democratic ally of the U.S. - of incurring the wrath of the Obami. No condemnations or even frowns will be forthcoming. This is, you see, what comes from throwing ourselves at our adversaries' feet and scorning our allies. Adversaries learn to take advantage of us while friends learn not to trust us.

And what risk was there of incurring the wrath of "the Bushi"? Were we really going to attack Russia if they did something we didn't like or spoke negatively about us?

This psuedo-machoism that some people like to present is pointless and counter productive. I would argue that constant condemnations and idle threats not only make other nations less willing to work with us, but also less likely to take us seriously because it becomes par for the course.
Not every human is a manipulative, opportunistic, letch... or at least that's what I'm told.

"We should go into Georgia."... how does that sound on reflection?

I've heard from at least a dozen people who have come from Europe that Obama is absolutely loved there. My boss at work is Dutch, and he told me his family would never come visit him here because they didn't like Bush. As sad as it is to say, most foreigners based their opinion of the entire country on our leader. Now that Obama is in office, they are set to come here during the summer to see where he lives and check out the American SW...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

Hi Pot this is kettle you are black. Let's start to see you use an example on anything other than blame Bush. Please, anything. every post. I have read four of your most recent posts and they all blame Bush. Everyone of them mentions Bush in some way or form. That is all you and the democratic wing have. You dont want to talk realities, you dont want to look at numbers, you want to blame Bush.
