Sun-Sentinel reports Chris Clemons is the "clear-cut favorite" to start free safety

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Chris Clemons is the "clear-cut favorite" to enter Week 1 as the Dolphins' starting free safety.
Rookie Reshad Jones reportedly "needs plenty of work," while Tyrone Culver will likely focus on special teams. Clemons doesn't boast elite ball skills, but he has enough speed and range to be a solid starting center fielder.

Zach Thomas: I played against New England twice a year every year my whole career. I learned to not like that team. I wasn't going to join them.

Interesting. You never know what can happen between now and Week 1 though.

Clear cut. That's as about as definitive as you can get.

Guys don't count out Culver, the guy has made plays with every chance he has gotten and has good ball skills. He has two INTs in back to back years as a back up and seven passes defended.

Clear cut without even entering TC yet? I'll believe it when I see it.

Like I said people should not count out Culver yet, I think he could have a break out year similar to how Randy did last year.

I still think Culver wins the starting spot come TC. He's the better player. Though like I've said numerous times, it won't really matter imo because both will get plenty of snaps.

"Clear cut" according to who? Omar doesn't quote anyone, ala Barry Jackson. I'm betting he just made it up, given the fact that Clemons was starting in minicamps. And we all (except Omar, apparently) know how little it matters to be starting in minicamp.
