Junc is just trolling at this point, per the usual. Cleveland had their chance and blew it. A bunch of idiots in their front office. LeBron owes them nothing.

People like junc forget this is a business, people take these things too personal and at the end of the day they forget that its a "business".
You guys may actually want to rad what I have written. LT as a guy who SD cut is not a valid comparison to Lebron going to Miami as a FA. That would be like if Peyton manning signed w/ us in 2005.

AGAIN, I haven't bashed the Heat. They did what they should have done, this is about admiring a great player and wishing he didn't take a shortcut to a title.

Peyton Manning to the Jets via free agency is nothing like LeBron to Miami.

Peyton actually had great talent around him. Dude had Marvin Harrison. Reggie Wayne. Edgerrin James.

You know, elite talent at their positions.

Larry Hughes. Mo Williams. Antwan Jamison.

No one in the history of sports leaves one team and goes to another team thinking, "Man it's gonna be easy to win titles here.

The fact that LeBron was capable of getting that Cleveland team to even the semifinals is mind boggling. He took that team to the NBA FINALS. It's beyond the realm of all understanding.

I get that you didn't want to see LeBron leave Cleveland. I didn't want to see it either. Now, it worked out for me because I'm a Heat fan, but we all know that LeBron's opportunities would be few and far between in Cleveland. That team was spinning tires in the mud. Dan Gilbert was and still is in over his head. That's a guy with a lot of money and not a lot of basketball sense. LeBron was in a bad situation from the start. How Gilbert handled LeBron leaving should tell you a lot. Players talk. Word gets around. People don't want to play in Cleveland.

Lebron didn't owe Cleveland anything, he gave them what 7 years? And they still couldn't build anything around him, that's their fault.

He left Cleveland to somewhere where literally everything was better, the players, the city, the coaching, the managing, and more.

I didn't like Lebron even when he was in Cleveland, but I'm not going to hate on him to go somewhere that actually gives him a chance, he gave Cleveland everything and they couldn't do anything with it.

So in junc's world, its fine to win a title with other good players helping you, so long as you sit in one place like a dumbass until it magically happens? Think about how retarded that **** is in your own life. In high school I had a job on a lobster boat. Pretty damn nice job for a HS kid in the summer. Made more money than most kids my age made. There was no room to advance on that boat though. No real opportunity to be more than a gopher and a guy they send to do **** they dont like doing. They had a regular crew. In your world, I suppose i should have graduated and spent years there hoping for one of the crew members to drop dead. I did what normal people do and moved on. Went to college. Worked better jobs for other boats. All that. I took initiative and realized that to get anywhere and accomplish what I want, I have to take an active role in making it happen for myself. What Lebron did is no different at all.

Tyler that doesn't apply to you since you have a "normal" job.

It's ok for you to leave for greener pastures since your options may be a little limited compared to those with other wordly abilities and talents.

If you have great talents and abilities, you should stay where you are and not maximize those abilities. You should sit on those abilities.

    Sounds like socialism to me.

Financial envy. That's all that post is.

Just because these dudes don't work a typical 9-5 desk job, you think that they should be slaves because they play a game for a paycheck and you can't do that.

Give me a break. These dudes spend half of the year away from their homes and families. Living out of suit cases in a hotel. Eating out every night.

This might sound great when you paint it a certain way but it gets old. Trust me, I've lived it. There comes a time when you yearn for a normal life where you wake up in the same bed, shower without a schedule, cook your own meal and relax on your own couch.

Cleveland sucks. End of story. You gotta leave your family in a dump like Cleveland. They don't like it. But you think because they make millions of dollars that the family should have to just deal with it.

People who are capable of making that kind of money have earned the right to have options and make choices based on their best interest. You act as if they're only here to appeal you between the time that you leave your desk job and the time that you go to sleep in YOUR bed every night.

"They have the easy life. Play a game and get paid millions. Don't have to work for anything. I don't want to hear their whining. Suck it up."

I hope this isn't considered a personal attack, but I'm pretty sure that you're none other than Skip Bayless.
People who have attitudes of jealousy towards athletes and their money are annoying. These guys don't "have it easy." They've busted their behinds since they were kids to be the top 1% in the world in what they do. I wish people would stop being so jealous and salute hard work and dedication. That's part of the American Spirit, right? Or does that not apply to athletes?

I know people like us make it a big deal but there has to be a level of appreciation from the players and all those associated w/ those teams and leagues toward the fans. W/o us whackos they wouldn't be able to make a living doing what they love to do.

He was in his early 20s when he got his 2nd contract, he was starting to make the playoffs and contend- why would he have left?

I NEVER said he didn't work hard BUT he went where he thought it would be easy to win titles.

Stockton & malone first had to deal w/ great Laker teams then great bulls teams, Ewing had to dull w/ the Bulls, Barkley w/ Boston, Det and Chi. Lebron hasn't had to go through great teams other than SA in his first Finals app.

Wade and Bosh used Lebron as much as he used them but those guys aren't in any discussion for greatest player ever. Let me clear something up, I don't have problems w/ players leaving for what they perceive is a better situation and more money but someone like Lebron who I feel can at least be in the discussion for greatest ever I hold to a different standard. I would have hated to see Jordan leave the Bulls in 1990, I would have hated to see Bird leave Boston, Magic leave LA if they had title droughts. I think other players should have come to him to win not him going to others to win. I respect the heck out of him as a player, he needed to step up and play great to help his team win and he did that but as a fan of sports(not of a particular team) I wanted to see Lebron win in Cle and I really feel he is great enough that he eventually would have.

Cle got much better and they have a great building block in Irving plus the #4 pickt his year. They very well could be a playoff team next year.

We all knew he was going to win in Miami, why are you pretending this is a shock?
You're forgetting one thing. They have no shot whatsoever at the first overall pick if Lebron is still with The Cavs.

doesnt matter how you arrive at your destination as long as you arrive there buddy and dont break any rules which lebron didnt. LT and lebron had the same common goal, ringchasing, except lebron got his and LT did not. Jets were in over there heads, guaranteeing going to the superbowl ect ect... you guys were dreamers.

They wish it was socialism. Thats how much they loved there preciouz lebron, but as soon as he left, those backstabbing disloyal fans all turned on him in a second. They disgust me, karma is a bitch. If wade had left us this summer, i would have never turned on him, i would have supported him where ever he played, even without the championship he got us.
