Look back at post #480 in this thread where I said he needed to go.

Namor is right, he's a good coach. He just doesn't fit here at Bama. Nuss is a west coast guy that likes to throw the ball around too much. We run the football here at Alabama and impose our will on opponents until they quit. That's Saban's philosophy.

Saban got tired of having to stay on his ass about running the football. His playcalling was predictable, and very inappropriate at crucial moments in games.

I wish him well, but Bama needed a change. He just doesn't fit here for what we want to do.

Nuss's playcalling really made me scratch my head when we were in the red zone....and it cost us against Auburn.

Looks like Petrino is hiring Kevin Steele away from Bama to be our DC. What's the story on him guys?

Not bad..not a great hire....better recruiter than DC...He left Bama ,the first time to go Clemson...Nick was fixing to replace him with Kirby anyway...
I'm kind of luke warm on that hire..but i hope it works out for you guys...It's about the same as hiring Shannon or Gene C..Not bad, just not great.

Looks like there's a rumor floating around that Nick Holt will be co-defensive coordinator with him. This hire appears to solely be for recruiting purposes. Bobby's not a very good recruiter personally. He's abrasive but he's got Hurtt, Thomas, and now Steele to close the deal with recruits.
