Does anyone on this board remember that Aaron Rodgers sat for four years behind a vet

and when he finally got in he was good and got better?

Why can't Henne do the same thing?

He could but that isn't what is happening. Favre was still playing decently and Rodgers never had the starting job yanked out from under him. Rodgers started and never looked back. Henne's been looking over his shoulder for his whole brief career. Sad Really

    THANK YOU!!

i certainly do. But unfortunately this league has become about walking in and starting right away.

Rogers was groomed the old fashioned way. And his play is a result of that.

Sitting behind Brett Favre is one thing, Chad Pennington another.

Because Henne was already handed the keys. He was given his chance, he was publically called this franchises future, then he was discarded after he struggled.

Its not all that different then Kevin Kolb, save that Kolb still has the confidence of those around him because 1) he was replaced due to injury, and 2) he didn't struggle as apparent as Henne did.
Regardless, even if Henne does get another chance, he knows that this coaching staff could pull him on a moments notice and will never fully trust them again nor have as much confidence.

Really? His whole career? looking over his shoulder? Hardly. This year was Henne's to TAKE!. This is a MANS league. Put up or shut up.

He didn't.. so he sits. It's not the first time a QB has been benched in this league.

Some Dolphans are so set on trying to find the next messiah of this franchise. Let's start this guy and see what he has.. lets start that guy and see what he has.

I'll take the tried tested and true right now.

And do you remember the time they benched him cause he was struggling? Oh yeah that didn't happen and they didn't completely kill his confidence and desire to play for the team that drafted him.

After starting games, Rodgers was never sent back to the bench.

The question is, can he still be developed?

How many years did it take rivers and brees to become as good as they are?

Rodgers was much better coming out of college then Henne. Also He was never benched after taking the starting job.
