Dumped on by some of the fan base, publically harrassed by a whiny immature beyotch wearing #19 and humiliated by a clueless head coach with one foot in the unemployment line and a fossil of a one-size fits all OC dinosaur who'd rather put his team in a bad position by blaming the power tool he's using instead of the out-of-code blueprint he's drawn up, Chad Henne stoically stands in there, never criticizes his porous line (hello Incognito and Carey), the playcalling or the drops like the good soldier he is. In the hindsight of a guy whose arm falls off at the drop of a stiff breeze and a "franchise 3rd string" bumbling QB, it's amazing that Henne can move the team down the field, surrounded by ineptitude to even put Carpenter into FG-making position. We got a glimpse of what Henne can do for a few glorious downs when The Fossil finally opened up the playbook. He has a long way to go yet, but he needs to get the kind of experience that capitalizes on his strengths in order to develop them - not this dink and dunk, play for FGs bullchit!
IMO there remains no doubt that ChadH is the best QB we've had since Dan right now, and with the most upside. Thank you Chad for putting up with all this crap for the sake of the team. Hopefully, your fellow alum, Ross, who's already bought into you preseason, will replace this clusterfork of coaching with a group that can nurture and develop your strong suits instead of trying to bang a square peg into a round hole.
