    Roman's Early Mock Draft

I am already looking forward to the 2011 NFL Draft. Here are my picks based on needs:

Round 1: Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama - What I like about Ingram is he is a great north/south runner. He finds the hole and runs through it unlike Ronnie who does too much side to side stuff. Ingram isn't the biggest/fastest guy around but he breaks arm tackles and does a nice job catching passes when called upon. Ingram is solid and durable which I will take over flashy anytime. Here are some highlights of Ingram's career at Bama:

Round 3: I know many of you seem to want to trade down our first rounder to pick up a second rounder but this rarely seems to happen so I think we have to look at our best value here. Watching the Bear's game, I think we have to go with an O-lineman:
Kristofer O'Dowd, C, USC or Alex Linnenkohl, C, Oregon State. These guys could go anywhere from Round 2 to Round 4, depending on which rankings you look at. I watch many Pac-10 Games and these two guys are rock solid.

Round 4: Jalil Brown, CB, Colorado. CU is my alma mater and I think this guy will have a good career in the NFL. He's 6'1", 205, good size, unreal strength, good speed and can deliver the hits. My favorite d-back for my school. Here are some highlights:

Round 5: I think we need some help at TE, although Fasano does a decent job when he gets some throws targeted at him.
Cameron Graham, TE, Louisville. 6'4" 260, really good blocker.....nice hands, good receiver, bowls people over.

Round 5: Steven Schilling, OG, Michigan. Good blocker, good size 6'5" 300.
    Interview with him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ndy3NSQDEg

Round 7: Justin Rogers, CB/KR, Richmond ...has 4.43 speed....we need someone who can run back kicks.

Round 7: Anthony Gray, NT, Southern Miss

Love this mock draft. Definitely fills so much needed holes.

I'm also assuming you believe Henne could still be the future of this franchise with a different OC. I feel the same way.

I think the question lies, do you see Fasano as a true #1 or better of as a #2 TE. I am hoping for TE around round 3 whom could come in and contribute ASAP as the #2 and slowly transition into the #1 TE role.

Yeah I definitely hope Henne will be kept here and can challenge for the starter or #2 spot, but I think we have to bring in a new OC that will give Henne and our QBs a chance to move the ball and put more points up. Also as far as Fasano.....I think he does a pretty good job, but it is hard to tell how well our TE's can do in the offense we run. I am really hoping we will have a new OC in place before April's draft, but you never know with this front office.
