i have been saying it i think they should go hard after james jones, even though there is one in miami already, brad smith would not be bad, leon washington, and jerome harrison, that will give us some much needed team speed. but knowing our luck i am pretty sure he will bring chansi stuckey since he knows the offense already, and ireland will bring sam hurd

NO CBA agreement means there will be no Free Agency. It is pointless to make up these lists until they get an agreement.

"The current NFL and NFLPA collective bargaining agreement (CBA) is set to expire on March 3, 2011. That date is also when NFL Free Agency should start, however unless a new CBA is agreed upon by March 3, 2011 free agency cannot happen..."

    http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2011/1/...ft-free-agency

Teams "...Are not allowed by the NFL to talk about the lockout and potential ramifications — such as what will happen with the free-agency system.

Under the current rules, players with five, four or three years of experience are restricted free agents when their contracts expire. Clubs can keep them by re-signing them or by matching any offer sheet they sign with other teams.

Running back Arian Foster, who led the NFL in rushing, yards from scrimmage, touchdowns, rushing touchdowns and first downs, is a two-year veteran. Players with two years of experience are exclusive rights players, which means they have no freedom to move.

If the lockout is implemented by the owners, there can be no player movement — no signings or trades. Players can't have contact with their teams and will have to work out and practice on their own.

There will be a draft because rookies don't become members of the union until they sign."

I think the wildcard there is Jerious Norwood. That kid is ungodly fast. I highly doubt he'd be allowed to leave Atl, but he has been hurt the past few years. He is good on returns and catches well. just my 2 cents.

If you ask me, if Ross wants to patch things over with the fans and the coaches, he should drop a **** ton of money on Manning. That is once there is a CBA in place.

I remember Peter King saying that if the lockout continues close to, or into, the start of the regular season, that there could be NO FA period if/when a new CBA gets done. That it could be agreed upon that all FAs would play under their previous year's contract in order to get the season started quickly. Didnt say what would happen to the training camp period though. Not sure how true this is, but it would leave only the draft as a way to get better.

A CBA will be done. Things like this usually dont get resolved till the last minute anyway.

    A football-less year benefits nobody.

and why would the players agree to that? A tonne of them would lose a boat load of money! Would our Coaching Staff really want R.Williams back?
    Draft:
    1/ R.Shazier OLB
    2/ C.Borland MLB
    3/ G.Jackson OG

That was my immediate thought also. But, the players agreed to the owner opt out clause, increase FA from 4 to 5 yrs, and playing under previous contract deal in the current CBA. Which I would have never expected them to do. Hopefully it wont matter and they will get something done soon.
