Former 49ers ST Coach Dave Fipp is new Dolphins Special Teams Coach

MaioccoCSN:‎ Just heard from an NFL source that ex-49ers assistant ST coach Dave Fipp is heading to the Miami Dolphins. They're getting a good guy.
    Via Twitter

    From Wikipedia, regarding Fipp:

The 49ers credit Fipp as playing a critical role in the team's excellent special teams play. In 2009, Punter Andy Lee earned his second Pro Bowl selection after ranking 2nd in the NFL in gross punting average (47.6) and net punting average (41.0). Running Back Michael Robinson was named a Pro Bowl alternate as a specialist for his work in all phases of special teams, marking the second consecutive season he had earned the recognition. Kicker Joe Nedney continued his successful career with Fipp’s guidance, finishing the 2009 season ranked 38th on the NFL’s all-time scoring list with 1,063 points.[7]

Philbin ... put it all together in a PowerPoint presentation. Everything about that presentation had to be perfect.

“If any PowerPoint slide had a spelling or grammar mistake, any typo, any scheme error, that was my responsibility, just like a teacher,” Philbin said.

Was he the ST coach there or just an assistant ST coach?
It is odd that I got this name in 2004 and it is still relevant to this day. Prove me wrong TS!

At least we didn't hire the coach the 30th ranked ST unit...because that would be nuts. Even at 23rd that has to be an improvement over our current status.
