I gave it a D. Mike Pouncy is a good player, but we took him too high and there were better options available, such as making the play Jax did for Gabbert. Not excited by Daniel Thomas at all, a lot of people are though and they've probably seen more of the guy than I have, so I'll bow to their better judgement there. But why make that knuckle headed trade up to get him ? Gates was a good pick, Clay looks like an interesting project, don't know much about the last two guys but there were better options out there.

So Clay and Gates saved me from grading this an F, but all in all it's a subpar draft that leaves a lot of work still to be done in FA. Missing out on Mallett was the biggest mistake of the day for me, he was there when we chose Thomas ahead of him, and what great value that would have been.

The individual picks are solid but the big picture looks bleek. Not a lot to be happy about here. Still obviously going with a ground and pound 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. Gates has speed but will only be a 4th WR at best just like speedy Hartline.

We have the same offensive tools we always have the past few years to trudge down the field and settle for 3 points.

The one thing I am excited for in Miami... The Golden Era []_[]
Yeah - Hankerson being there at our original 3rd was really crazy. He's a STEAL there. It also sucks that we could've had Ingram AND Mallett.

Ireland just has zero balls. He's playing it "safe" (as he said) and it'll probably cost him his job. If he had the guts to trade up for Gabbert, or snag Ingram and Mallett, then he could've made a name for himself as a GM, and he could've finally gotten us out of this decade of suck.

Fair and accurate. They should've done whatever they had to do to ensure that we got a potential franchise QB. Either trading up for Gabbert (we could've out-bid JAX), or snagging Mallett in the 2nd (along with getting Ingram in the 1st). But without a QB, this draft sucks.

The vet FA QBs available either are washed up, or will cost too much to trade for. We needed to get our own guy.

I'm just glad that next year's draft picks are still intact.

I wouldn't bank on them still being there for long, this FO will probably throw them away as fast as they can on one of Palmer, Kolb or Orton.

For now......but don't be surprised to see Ireland give away a 2012 pick for a vet QB. I wouldn't even put it past him to give away our 2012 1st for Kolb. Yikes!

Right - or VY. These idiots still want to run the wildcat with probably VY and Thomas. (That's why they moved up to target Thomas I'm guessing.) I see them targeting VY and Reggie Bush - unfortunately.

Lol Edmund Gates? Give me a break. You're drooling over a guy who you've never even heard of until a few hours ago. He might not even make the team.
Jets suck, Bills suck, Patriots suck.
