    Gotham

Anyone else (besides ChambersWI) watching this show? It is really good. They are doing a great job making a show that does not actually have Batman in it yet.

I watched the first three episodes so far. Have the others on my DVR and I need to get caught up. So far I have been enjoying it.

The kid they got to play Bruce Wayne is excellent. He is probably one of the biggest reasons the show works. I said this on Facebook but this is the first time I have seen the Wayne's death, in the many forms it has taken, that it actually made me tear up. The kid's reaction to them being shot was so raw that it just hit me in the gut like a punch.

Love the show so far. The Cobblepot character has been my favorite. It will be interesting to watch Nigma storyline develop.

I love that they're showing the murder of Bruce's parents is not the only reason he eventually becomes Batman. I like that they're showing that Bruce was sheltered from how corrupt Gotham is and without his parents around he's seeing how lost the city is and how the people don't trust the cops or the people with money.

Very subtle, but the development of relationship between Bruce and Alfred is terrific. In the latest ep you could almost see Alfred's heart break when Bruce said "there's no one to take me from..."

Off to a solid start with some nice winks and nods to Batman fans such as Edward Nigma and his question mark cup.
I hope this show lasts a while so we can see where they are going.

TV fans are fickle. Birds of Prey was a very good show with a great premise that only last about 13 episodes.
When death smiles upon you, the Infantry man smiles back. WV says Im not a patriot and Jeff Ireland is a Boss so it must be true.

So I just finished watch the newest episode. I really like how they are laying down the ideas that will eventually inspire Bruce Wayne to be Batman. However just as they were going to make Bullock look good they went back to the Bullock that is loyal to the mob. I know that is new 52 **** but I really hope they say he has been in deep cover from the start. I have always like the Bullock character and as stated I don't like him being a mob stooge.

Ok. So mid-season review. Anyone have any thoughts on where they are going with this?
