    True Detective Season 2 Info

During an interview Sunday on the Wisconsin Public Radio program "To The Best Of Our Knowledge," Pizzolatto said that season 2 will be set somewhere in the Golden State -- marking a sharp contrast from the Deep South setting seen in the first season, which wrapped in March.

Pizzolatto added that the new season will not take place in Los Angeles, but will instead be set in "some of the much-lesser known venues of California."
"Right now, we're working with three leads," he explained. "The characters are all new, but I'm deeply in love with each of them."
So it looks like a lesser known location in Cali and three leads (one of which I expect to be female).

I just finished the first season and I loved it. True Detective is what I wanted AMC's The Killing to be like. Wrap up one murder and then move on to the next. Just minus the huge time span. I am glad they are going to a new location and new cast. It should keep everything nice and fresh each season.

I'll definitely watch even though I am gonna miss the hell out of McConaughey and Harrelson.

    Thanks for the heads up.
Vaark turned me on to Ray Donovon which starts up again soon as well. It's on Showtime and very good .
John Voight and Elliot Gould star in it. James Woods is in a few episodes.

Ohhhh. I like the idea of Cranston playing a cop. That would be cool.

How about Brad Pitt, Susan Sarandon, and Gena Davis? Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Aniston? Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, and a box?

I'd put Steve Buscemi in it somewhere. Usually a sign it's going to be good.

Maybe Season 3. I know they are currently filming the final season of Boardwalk Empire (I see filming locations all over the city) and I'm not sure they would be done in time for him to immediately jump into another series. He's be awesome though.

True Detective was pretty excellent. I watched the whole season in a day and a half, I couldn't break away. Looking forward too season two.
