Orton looking good in camp, outplaying tebow big time.

Tim Tebow - QB - Broncos

Tim Tebow has been thoroughly outplayed by Kyle Orton early in training camp.

"Observers saw it, coaches saw it and, equally important, players saw it," writes SI.com's Jim Trotter, who calls the gap between the two QBs "as wide as the initial debt-reduction plans of Democrats and Republicans." For now, Orton is clearly No. 1 on the depth chart. If this was purely a football decision, Orton would be a lock to start the season opener. Considering his contract situation, though, a trade remains a possibility.

Kyle Orton is now taking all of the first-team quarterback reps at Broncos training camp.

The Denver Post is calling the Broncos' backup job a Tim Tebow versus Brady Quinn battle. If the Broncos still plan to trade Orton, they're wasting valuable starters' reps on the overpriced incumbent. Denver needs to make a quick decision on whether to move on from Orton or keep him in the lineup. He's taking up valuable cap space and time for Tebow to form a rapport with Brandon Lloyd.

    Well no ****. Tebow sucks.
"Fundamentals, technique, execution -- primary. Scheme -- secondary."

"We will incorporate an aggressive, up-tempo, attacking style in all three phases of the game."

"Our team will play with discipline, poise, and maximum effort."

"I want us to be the best tackling team in the NFL, the best team in pursuit, I want to take the ball away from other teams, I want to rattle the opposing quarterback every opportunity we get."

Tebow struggling to beat out Brady Quinn? Sounds like a starting QB position on the Dolphins is in his future.

Really so why isn't Henne out playing his competition? IDIOTS get him now before they change their minds and before the price goes up!

I've been monitoring the Bronco board since last weekend - even the majority of his many detractors acknowledge that Orton usually has great camps but implodes in the season - so no one is surpised nor particularly impressed. Whether that transcends fandom extending to Fox and Elway, is another story since this is their first rodeo.

And yet Broncos fans don't cheer when he is throwing the ball, but go nuts when Tebow does anything. I've also heard Orton has wet the bed in 7 on 7 drills causing Broncos fans to say "that is the Kyle Orton we have known these last 2 years, can look good in drills and limited pressure, but when pressure is on he can look terrible". Ironically his stats reflect the same thing when he is under pressure.

Orton is notorious on being great in practice, then melting down on game days.

Bronco forums are rife with reports of him choking when it matters.

It takes discipline to not formulate opinions about something WITHOUT KNOWING ALL THE FACTS.

The broncos subpar running game, mediocre offensive line, and horrible defense melt down on game days as well. In Miami he would benefit from a good defense, decent running game, and OK offensive line.
