    OT Bryant McKinnie would play for the Dolphins

    Thought this was a interesting tidbet in the Miami Herald and if true just makes me wonder what the phins braintrust is thinking.

    • Though offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie would love to play here, the Dolphins had not called or worked him out as of Tuesday morning, even though he graded out much higher than Marc Colombo in every category last season (McKinnie was 16th among guards, Colombo 76th, according to Pro Football Focus).     I bet Sparano is clamoring for McKinnie, Ohara, and every offensive lineman that comes available. Unfortunately the roster can only carry so many and need to be settled very soon. He will continue the tinkering if you let him. However, he now knows better and hopefully he's learned from the past.

    He is still better than colombo. I would take him because right tackle is a major need and I want ohara for depth we got the money go get them!!!

    Sounds like Bryant McKinnie got so fat that he won't be able to play this year, and his career might be over.

    Free agent LT Bryant McKinnie reported to Vikings training camp at 386 pounds before his release.
    It's not quite the rumored 400 pounds, but still an unacceptably high number for a player whose playing weight is 335. The National Football Post's Dan Pompei reports McKinnie is "so grossly out of shape that he would endanger his health by suiting up." Unless he suddenly develops an affinity for fitness he's lacked his entire career, the 32-year-old's playing days may be over.

    The Minneapolis Star-Tribune confirms released LT Bryant McKinnie weighed in "close to 400 pounds" upon arriving at camp.
    That's the vibe we picked up late last week when a beat writer noticed McKinnie was considerably bigger than the 360 pounds he played at last season. McKinnie claims he asked for his release to play elsewhere, but also acknowledges he may have to sit out a year and return in 2012. We wouldn't be surprised if the unmotivated former seventh overall pick never suits up again.
